Abstract:  Tomatoes, although not among the most valuable crop in nutrient per pound, are an important contributor to dietary needs because of the substantial per capita consumption of the fruit. In the United States, only potato consumption exceeds tomato consumption.  The tomato is grown primarily as a fresh market vegetable.  Approximately 80 pounds of actual nitrogen was applied to the tomato crop as triple (13-13-13) fertilizer. Proprietary organic fertilizer was manufactured by Agri-Gro marketing.  Agri-Gro is a storehouse of naturally balanced plant nutrients, trace elements and growth substances.

The objectives of these studies were to evaluate the effect of three rates of foliar applied fertilizer on the yield of ‘Celebrity’ tomatoes in Missouri.
